Dene Elizabeth Smith,73, of Belton passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at her residence. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Crotty funeral Home & Cremation Services followed by a Burial at Fairview Cemetery in Valley Mills with Chaplain Bruce Mercer officiating. Dene was born on November 06, 1943 to Truman and Minnie Creekmore in Savannah, TN. She loved collecting Indian artifacts, and playing games with her grandchildren. You would often fine Dene sitting on her front porch drinking coffee. She loved spending time with her family and her dog, skeeter. Dene is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Eugene Smith; her son, Ricky Smith, and her brother, Howard Creekmore. She is survived by her loving companion, John Lee Reid of Belton; her son, Otis Daron Smith of Belton; her daughters, Theresa Riley of Weatherford, Janey Welch of Cherokee, AL, and Robin Willbanks of Walnut, MS; her brothers, Gene Creekmore of Wisconsin, and Chuck Creekmore of California; twenty grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and many more cherished family and friends.
