George Tony Hopper

George ""Tony"" Hopper, 65 of Nolanville passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. A memorial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at River Church in Belton with Pastor Richard Gatto officiating. Tony was born on March 26, 1953 to Wilma Jane and Thomas Colman Hopper. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1977 and married his loving wife, Patricia Ann Austin, on January 4, 1975 in Arthur, IL. For most of his life, Tony worked as a carpenter and took up truck driving two years before retiring in 2007. When he was not working, he spent a lot of time on crafts; such as, building wooden toys, carving and whittling canes, building fairy houses, spending time with his family, and studying the bible. He was a member of River Church in Belton. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hopper of Nolanville; his son, Thomas Austin Hopper of Nolanville; his daughters, Mandy Marie Turner of Nolanville, Darah Elisabeth Weber of Belton, and Marsha Lynn Long of Stonington, IL; one brother, Danny Ray Hopper of Nolanville; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
