Zaida M. Torres

Zaida M. Torress passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at a local hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 with Reverend Eric Hull officiating at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton. Zaida was born on August 28, 1946 to Fernando and Emelia Torres in Rio, Puerto Rico. She was a CNA most of her life and loved caring for others. Zaida was the matriarch of her family and a wonderful mother to her children. She loved being a grandmother and cooking. She would even want plates of food she made given to the homeless. Zaida loved the Lord and was an avid church goer. She was dedicated to her family and will be dearly missed. Zaida is survived by her sons, Adam Agosto of Temple, Kenny Rodriguez of New York,Grelly Rodriguez of New York, and Umbil Rodriguez of New Jersey; her daughters,Rebecca Cruz- Davis of Puerto Rico, Marsol SkibinSki of Pennsylvania, and Maribell Velze of Pennsylvania;one sister, Vilma Torres of Puerto Rico; eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Fernando "Luey" Torres Jr. that passed in the Vietnam War. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
