Bobby Dean Eakin

Bobby Dean Eakin was born on March 5, 1938 to William and Winnie Eakin in Moody. He was one of seven children. Bobby married the love of his life, Barbara O'Neal on July 7, 1961 in Gholson, TX. He worked for most of his life in Construction of all types. He loved camping, being in the outdoors, golfing, deer hunting, and going to his grandchildren's ball games. Bobby worked with the Corps of Engineers since 2007. He and his wife are gate attendants at Union Grove Park and they really enjoy living the RV life together. Bobby Dean Eakin,80, of Salado passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at a local hospital. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tammie Quarles; his brother, C.D. Eakin; his sisters, Mable Jennings, Evelyn Baysinger, Francis Cureton, Faron Hindman, and LaNell Witt. He is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Barbara Eakin of Salado; his son, Randy Eakin of Waco; his grandchildren, Mandy Staton and husband, Garrett, Wendy Sedillo and husband, Joseph, and Wyite ""Bubba"" Butler and, wife Callie; seven great grandchildren.
