Carol Ann Vandyke

December 23, 1960 — September 7, 2017

Carol Ann Vandyke ,56, of Spring Branch went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2017 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Victory Baptist Church in Salado with Pastor Vandyke officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M at Victory Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Salado. Carol was born on December 23, 1960 to Norman and Fern Trumbull in Abilene,TX. She married Jeffrey Vandyke on March 25, 1983 in Spring, TX. Carol was a homemaker most of her life and was a devoted christian. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, antiques, and going to resale shops. Carol loved studying the Bible and spending time with her family. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in La Grange and will be dearly missed. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey Mart Vandyke Sr. of Spring Branch; her two sons Jeffrey Mart Vandyke Jr of Spring Branch and Anthony Michael Vandyke of Giddings; three daughters, Bobbie Dawn West of Basdrop, Samantha Erin Gerdes of Giddings, and Olivia Vandyke of Spring Branch;her five brothers, Randall Gene Trumbull of San Marcos, Travis Trumbull of Calhoun,GA, Ricky Vandyke Jr. of Houston, Anderson Vandyke of Houston, and Albert Vandyke of Houston; her five sisters, Judy Smith of Houston, Ester Desselle of Houston, Elizabeth Vandyke of Houston, Violet Monique Vandyke of Houston, and Amy Heffington of Vicksburg, MS; her five grandchildren and one on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Fern Trumbull. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
