Collin Dakota Cortez, 22, of San Marcos passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at his residence. Collin was born to Misty and Nick Cortez on August 23, 1997 in Tyler, Texas. Collin owned his own remodeling and repair business. He enjoyed working on cars, building things, woodworking, and learning to do everything he could. He was a handy man, and was always helping people. Collin was a very giving man who did anything for anyone. He enjoyed hunting with his stepdad, and was very busy and active like his momma. Collin had big dreams in life. A visitation for Collin will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Crotty Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor H.K. Ballard officiating. Collin is survived by his mother Misty Castor and stepfather Leon Castor III; his father Nick Cortez and stepmother Elizabeth Cortez; his brothers, Jaden Cortez, Michael Cortez, Caleb Molina, and Daniel Perez; his sisters, Kendreck Ingram, Victoria Castor, Sereina Castor, and Aleyna Castor; his grandmothers, Clara Brown, Deborah Kenyon, Elizabeth Castor, and step-grandmother Laura Kenyon; his grandfathers, Glen Kenyon and Leon Castor Jr.; his cousins, DeJay, Addicen, Peyton, Clayton, and Emma; and his aunts and uncles, Darrell, Denise, and Tami.
