Daniel Louis Wasik

Daniel Louis Wasik, 78, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in the comfort of his home. Daniel was born to Sophie and Louis Wasik on August 23, 1941 in Bremond, Texas. Daniel was a United States Army veteran, and after retiring from the military, worked as a football coach and athletic director, and taught science at Gateway. He loved watching and teaching football and playing poker, pool, and dominos with his friends. His heroes were his football players and he was a proud pepaw. He also loved gardening and spent much of his time outdoors. A memorial service for Daniel will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Temple. A luncheon will be held following the services at Schoepf's BBQ, located at 702 E. Central Ave, Belton,Tx 76513. Daniel is survived by his wife, Dottie Joe Wasik; his son, Russell ""Rusty"" Wasik of Temple; his daughters, Kimberly Greco and husband Jeff of Austin, Stacey Washington of Temple, and Debbie Wingfield and husband Jared of Boerne; his sister, Shirley Czerwinski of Conroe; and his grandchildren, Taylor Green of Chicago, Brennan Green of Austin, Payton Washington of Temple, Carter Wingfield of Boerne, Amaya Wingfield of Boerne, Kina Wingfield of Boerne, and Dominique Wingfield of Boerne.
