Debra Ann Lewis, a loving, kind, and faith-filled woman, was born on July 14, 1960, in Kinder, Louisiana and passed away on April 2, 2023, in Temple. Debra's life was filled with joy, laughter, and love, as she always lived life to the fullest. She was a proud Native American who enjoyed movies, music of all kinds, spending time outdoors, fishing, dancing with her late husband, James "Jimmy" Lewis Jr. Debra's greatest joy in life was her family, and she loved her children and grandchildren fiercely.

Debra is survived by her son, Robert Confer and his wife, Crystal of Salado; her daughter, Heather Howell and her husband, Jack of Temple; her sisters, Evie Joann Daniel and her husband, Jack of Richards, and Sondra Dea Thurston and her husband, Paul of Kentucky. She was also the proud grandmother of eight cherished grandchildren, Brynnlee, Jack III, Kynslee, Jose, Tatiana, Robert "Robbie" Jr., Christopher, and Riot, one great-grandchild, Spencer, and her dog, Papi. Debra's love for her family was truly immeasurable, and her memory will forever live on in their hearts.

Debra was an avid lover of nature and the outdoors. Whether it was fishing with her family, taking long walks through the woods, or simply sitting outside and enjoying the beauty of the world around her, Debra found great joy and peace in her connection with the natural world. Her love of nature extended to her passion for Native American culture and heritage, and she was always eager to share her knowledge and experiences with others.

Debra's love of music and dancing was infectious, and she could often be found sharing her passion for both with her family and friends. She had a particular fondness for dancing with her late husband, Jimmy, and their love for one another was evident in every step they took together. Their love story is a testament to the power of love and the strength of the bonds that hold families together.

As author A.A. Milne once said, "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." This quote perfectly encapsulates the feelings of those who knew and loved Debra, as her passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends. However, they can take comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire and guide them throughout their lives.

If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane.
I would walk right up to Heaven
and bring you back again.
