Edwin Butler Halford

Edwin ""Papa Ed"" Butler Halford, 61, of Nolanville passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 in the comfort of his home. Ed was born to Lavern and Hiram Halford on October 16, 1958 in Natchez, Mississippi. He was in the United States Navy for 19 years. Ed married his wife, Linda, on August 9, 2014 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. He was the vice president of the Warriors of the Way chapter of the Christian Motorcycles Association. He was also a Mason, belonging to the Masonic Lodge number 166 of Belton. A visitation for Ed will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Freedom Road Biker Church in Belton. Funeral Service will begin at 6:30 PM with Pastor Jimmy Van Loozen officiating. Final ride will be held from the Freedom Road Biker Church at 8:00 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2020, to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Burial will be held at the Veterans Cemetery at 9:00 AM. Ed is survived by his wife, Linda Halford of Nolanville, his sons, Robert William Halford and wife Amanda, Scott Anthony Halford and wife Nicole, Joshua Ian Anderson and wife Ynonne, and Wayne Michael Anderson and wife Kathryn; his brother, Mike Halford and wife Judy; and his twelve grandchildren. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Hiram and Harold Halford. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
