Stephen Carl Evans

Stephen Carl Evans, 66, of Temple passed away on July 2, 2012 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday July 6, 2012 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Dr. Tom Henderson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Mr. Evans was born on October 6, 1945 in Chickamauga Georgia to Carl and Dorothy Webb Evans. He joined the U.S. Army from February 7, 1963 to February 4 1966. He was a painter in the Bell County area most of his life. He loved spending time with his family and fishing. He was a member of the Heights Baptist Church in Temple. Survivors are one son, Steve L. Evans of Troy; two daughters, Kimberly Reynolds of Temple and Cindy Austin of Morgans Point; two brothers Clifford Evans of Tennessee and Dana Evans of Georgia; three sisters, Jerry Ann McCurdy of Alabama , Glenda Veal and Jean Gass both of Georgia; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
