Betty Sue Stewart

Betty Sue Stewart, 75, of Temple passed away peacefully Friday, July 20, 2018 at Creekside Terrace. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Crotty Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Schmidt officiating and burial to follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton. Betty was born on November 11, 1942 in Corsicana to David and Frances Blood. She worked in her Family's Grocery Store when she was young, then owned and operated a pet grooming service, and worked as a care giver for the elderly in her later years. Betty was stubborn and set in her ways but was known for fiercely loving her friends and family. She enjoyed Knitting, collecting magazines, reading Westerns, crocheting, plants, animals, her dog Taffy, her outside cats, her pot belly pigs, and keeping her grandchildren. Betty was a provider and known for caring for her grandchildren who so loved their Nene. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 58 years, Sammy Eugene Stewart ; her parents, David and Frances Blood; one daughter ;her four sisters, Carolyn Thomas, Frances Gainer, Harriet Brown, and Kathy Cannon. Betty is survived by one sister, Lillian Ann Brown, her two daughters, Cyndi Lary and Shannon Pentico , both of Belton; her seven grandchildren, Megan Ellis, Joshua Splain, Ashleigh Tulloch, Kristen Lary, Samantha Pentico, Benjamin Pentico, and Bayleigh Vaughn; five great grandchildren, Nolan, Riot, Lakyn, Jaiden, and Wylde. As well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
