Charles Rosemond Oakes

Charles Rosemond Oakes, 63, of Killeen passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in a local nursing home. Charles was born to Vera and John Oakes on December 3, 1956 in Greenwood, Mississippi. Charles served almost two decades in the United States Army and worked as an environmentalist. The family will be holding private services. Charles is survived by his sons, Chris Oakes of Mississippi and Jonathan Oakes of Utah; his brothers, Donald Oakes and John Wallace Oakes, both of Jackson, Mississippi; his sisters, Sharon Johnson of Hot Springs, AK, and Linda Oakes Owens of Atlanta, GA; and his two grandchildren. Charles is proceeded in death by his parents. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
