Christian Matulik

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Christian Lee Wayne Matulik, 14 of Temple, TX on February 23, 2023 at his home.

A viewing will be held on Friday March 3, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Crotty  Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Belton, Texas. Christian’s service will then be held March 4, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Belton with Chaplain H.K. Ballard.

Christian was born at 23 weeks on June 22, 2008, where he started his journey to beat the odds placed against him.  After a short time on earth, Christian became a blessing to the family of Christina Matulik. Although Christian faced a myriad of challenges that set him apart from his peers in many ways, Christian brought a smile along with joy to every person he met. He enjoyed being with family, playing with things involving bright colors/ lights, listening to music and loved trucks/wheels.

In April 2017, Christian and our family were faced with yet another challenge that forced him to learn a new normalcy of life.  Even with the new changes, Christian continued to be the light of our lives as he continued to accomplish goals and reach milestones that were unexpected. Not only did Christian complete our family in the best way he taught his family and friends a new meaning of love.

He is preceded in death by his pawpaw, Clarence Matulik Jr., who played a huge role in Christian’s life.

Christian is lovingly remembered by his mother, Christina Matulik of Temple, brother Tristen, sister Mariah of Temple. Sisters Makaela and Mya of Harker Heights. He is cherished by his caregivers Sarah, Peggy and Vickie, his grandmother, April Matulik, and many loving family members.
