Daphne Staley Renfrow

Daphne Jane Staley Renfrow, a force to be reckoned with, passed away on February 18, 2026, after a brief illness. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by family. She entered this world on July 31, 1962, and the world has never been the same.

Daphne was a graduate of Temple High School and Temple College. She used her AutoCAD skills in manufacturing for many years, before moving into healthcare. Daphne is most known though for her backbone of steel and strength of heart. A born caregiver, Daphne always looked out for others ahead of herself. She could be a gentle lamb, or fierce warrior depending on what she needed you to do. She made this world better, brighter, and kinder. She will be remembered for her personal strength, compassionate heart, and love of a good bingo game.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and was proud of them all. She is survived by her son Justin Gile (Lindsey Youmans), daughters Kassaundra Carson (Quentin Carson) and Jennifer Reynolds (Devan Johnson) sister Charlotte Carson (Les Carson), foster siblings Laynie Humphrey (Brian Humphrey) and Brent Williams, and grandchildren (Kori, Quentin, Madalynn, Daniel, Caden, Kaylynn, Clover, Aries, Josiah, Rose, and Brentlee) and nieces and nephews (Timothy, Michael, Rick, Alicia, Josh, Noah and Zoe). And all the others she’s picked up along the way. 

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Don Renfrow, her sister Valerie Beida, and her parents Charles and Shirley Gile.
