David Jackson

November 7, 1949 — September 24, 2023

Belton, Texas

David Ray Jackson, a devoted soldier, loving husband, dedicated father, and skilled electrician, has left a lasting impression on the hearts of those who knew him. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David on September 24, 2023, in Belton, Texas. He was born on November 7, 1949, in Spokane, WA. His remarkable journey through life was filled with unwavering love for his family and a strong commitment to his work.

David's military service in the U.S. Army defined his early years. He bravely served his country with honor and integrity for most of his life. His dedication to defending freedom exemplified the true spirit of a soldier.

Following his military career, David embarked on a new path as an electrician. He founded his own company called Georg Electric and passionately worked in the field for many years until his well-deserved retirement in 2010. His expertise and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Beyond his professional achievements, David will be remembered for the joy he radiated whenever he smiled. Friends and family could always count on him to be there whenever they needed support. His unwavering presence brought comfort to those around him during both celebratory occasions and trying times.

David possessed an extraordinary work ethic that inspired those who crossed paths with him. Whether it was tackling complex electrical projects or fulfilling his responsibilities as a husband and father, he never shied away from hard work. Through both word and action, he instilled in those close to him the importance of determination and commitment.

Above all else, David's love for his family was immeasurable. On June 31, 1991, he married the love of his life, Norma L. Jackson, in Belton. He was blessed with two daughters, Pamela Knox of Edmond, OK and Melinda Jackson of Temple, and one son that passed away on March 10, 2022 Christopher Georg Jackson. The loss of his son was very difficult for David and he was undoubtfully greeted by him in Heaven. David cherished every moment spent with his family, creating lasting memories that will forever be held dear. David leaves behind a legacy that extends through generations. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will strive to carry forward his enduring love and unwavering dedication.

David found solace in his faith and was an active member of the Heritage Country Church in Salado. His spiritual connection guided him through life, allowing him to find strength and comfort in times of need.
