Delania Michelle Evans

April 14, 1969 — July 19, 2025

Delania Michelle Evans Davis, affectionately known as "D," was born on April 14, 1969, in Gatesville, Texas. She departed this world on July 19, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Killeen, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Delania dedicated a significant portion of her professional life to Texas Instruments, where she worked for 12 years, and later as a loan officer at Jackson Hewitt. Her compassionate spirit shone through her work as a home health care worker, where she poured her heart into caring for others. It was in her roles as a child and infant teacher, however, that Delania truly flourished, nurturing young minds and imparting knowledge with both patience and joy.

A proud graduate of Belton High School, Delania passionately embraced her role as a flag girl, proudly declaring, “GO BIG RED.” She furthered her education at Temple College, earning an associate's degree in 2008. Delania’s pursuit of knowledge and personal growth never wavered, reflecting her kind and caring nature.

To all who knew her, Delania was a beacon of unconditional love — a devoted daughter, affectionate sister, and loving mother. She cherished every moment spent with her family, reveling in the laughter and joy shared with her husband, Charlie Davis, of College Station; her son, CJ Davis, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, along with their daughters, Maddisyn and Laylah, all of Temple; her son, Tyler Davis, and daughter-in-law, Jaylla, and granddaughter, Kaleesia, also of Temple; and her daughters, Megan Davis of College Station, Alyssa Davis and son-in-law, Gabriel of Killeen. The pride she felt in her children and grandchildren was immeasurable, and she made it a priority to create lasting memories with them.

Her personality was a tapestry of kindness, humor, and care. Delania found joy in the simple things, often losing herself in the delight of coloring, drawing, reading, and listening to music. She was not only a provider but also a best friend, always ready with a smile or a word of encouragement.

Delania’s family ties were profound and deeply rooted. She is survived by her loving husband and children, who will carry her spirit and values with them every day. However, she also leaves behind the memory of her beloved grandmother, Joyce Ondrasek; mother, Elaine Sayles; dearly departed grandparents, Granny and PawPaw; grandbaby, Baby Davis; and uncles, Ray Thomas and Bill Thomas, who now share a special place in her eternal journey.

The Celebration of Life honoring Delania will be held on July 29, 2025, at FTL Church in Temple, Texas, where her family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the many hearts she touched.

In the hearts of those who loved her, Delania Michelle Evans Davis will forever remain a symbol of love, strength, and resilience. Her memory will continue to light the way for her family, reminding them to embrace life fully and cherish the moments that truly matter.
