Delbert Ebbin Cloud, known to many as “Dale,” passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 73. Born on July 8, 1953, in Austin, Texas, Delbert spent the majority of his life in his beloved hometown before moving to Kingsland, Texas, where he resided for the past thirteen years.

As a young man, Delbert attended Leander High School, where he formed friendships and memories that would shape the course of his life. It was during these formative years that he met Konnette, the love of his life. Their bond blossomed in the halls of their school, culminating in marriage on September 11, 1972—a milestone Delbert always cherished as one of his proudest accomplishments.

After high school, Delbert embraced a career as a true man of all trades. He made his mark in construction and as a skilled painter, admired for his work ethic, versatility, and dedication. Whether working on-site or perfecting a finish, Delbert approached every task with meticulous care and pride in a job well done.

Those who knew Delbert best will remember him for his loving and caring nature. He was a devoted husband and father, always there with a kind word, a helping hand, or a reassuring presence. To his wife Konnette, his son Brad, and his daughter Krystal, Delbert was the cornerstone of the family—a constant source of strength, warmth, and unwavering support. His love and guidance also extended to his cherished thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
