Diana Ortiz,58,of Belton passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at a local hospital. A visitation will be held 5:00 P.m. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 29,2018 at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at New Jerusalem Church in Belton. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple. Diana was born on June 17, 1960 to Daniel and Maria Tamez in Lubbock. She married the love of her life, Joe Ortiz on June 10, 1978 in Belton. Diana worked many years at First Baptist Church Daycare in Belton and retired in 2010. She was a member of New Jerusalem Church in Belton. She enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting, arts and crafts, needle point, spending time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Jerusalem Church in Belton. Diana is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Joe Ortiz Sr. of Belton; her son, Joe Ortiz Jr. of Belton; her daughters, Teresa Ortiz of Belton, and Felicia Montgomery of Harker Heights; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
