Diann Elizabeth Johnson, a devoted homemaker and cherished soul, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026. Born on December 30, 1957, in Temple, she lived a life marked by warmth, dedication, and a deep love for those around her.

Diann’s days were beautifully woven with moments spent nurturing her family and sharing laughter with friends, whom she especially treasured. Her home was a sanctuary of love and comfort, where the bonds of family grew stronger with every shared meal and heartfelt conversation.

A brilliant mind and a curious spirit, Diann found joy in puzzles and words. She was an avid reader whose nose was often found in the pages of a good book. Her passion for Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune was well-known among those who knew her, embodying her quick wit and love for challenge. She delighted in crossword puzzles, and her embroidery and painting reflected a gentle creativity and patient hands. Her affection for horses spoke to her tender and nurturing nature—a love that she held dear throughout her life.

Diann is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ernest A. Johnson, who stood by her side through life’s journey. Her children, Jennifer Culp of Temple, Cindy Brewer-Beck of Morgans Point, John Curtis Embry of Washington State, David Embry of Dripping Springs, Texas, and Charles Armon Embry of Moffat, Texas, carry forward her legacy of strength, kindness, and dedication. Though her parents, John Flavius Embry and Madeline LaVera Ferguson Emby, preceded her in death, their memories lived on in the values they instilled in her.

The loss of Diann leaves a tender ache in the hearts of all who knew her, yet her spirit remains alive in the countless memories she created—a testament to a life lived fully and lovingly. Her gentle presence, her laughter, and her unyielding commitment to family will forever be cherished.

In this season of sorrow, we remember Diann Elizabeth Johnson not only for the roles she filled but for the love she gave so freely. Her story is one of grace, resilience, and an enduring devotion that inspired all who were fortunate enough to walk alongside her.
