Doris ""Mimi"" Jean Hicks

Doris ""Mimi"" Jean Hicks,86, of Belton passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at her residence. She was born on September 3, 1932 to J.D. ""Dock"" and Rena Grace Johnson in Belton. She attended Belton High School and married Raymond Hicks in March of 1963. Doris was a homemaker most of her life and operated an in-home daycare for over 20 years. She loved caring for children, gardening, yard work, and spending time with her family. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hicks, her son, Donny Walker, and her brother, Jimmy Johnson. She is survived by her sons, Johnny Ray Hicks of Holland, and Scotty Lau of Alabama; her daughters, Vickie Heath of May Pearl, and Linda Lee of Temple; her sisters, Mary Wilhite, and Johnny Ellison, both of Belton, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many children she cared for for many years in and around the city of Holland. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
