Faustino Gonzales

Faustino Gonzales, a dedicated and hard-working individual, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 87. Born on February 15, 1938, in Pawnee, Texas, Faustino lived a life filled with labor, love, and family, leaving behind a legacy in both his profession and the many cherished relationships he built throughout his years.

Faustino devoted 30 years of his life as an ER Carpenter, becoming a skilled artisan who took pride in his craftsmanship. After retiring in 2000, he enjoyed spending more time with his family and pursuing his hobbies, which included fishing and working on cars. His hands were as adept at crafting beautiful structures as they were at reeling in the big catch or fine-tuning a beloved vehicle.

His heart was boundless, nurturing his family with a love that transcends all boundaries. Faustino is preceded in death by his father, Vicente Gonzales, and mother, Paula Gonzales. He leaves behind three sons, Raymondo Gonzales & Wife Connie  of Temple, Texas; Faustino Gonzales Jr. & Wife Angela of Academy, Texas; and Martin Gonzales & Wife Sarah of Temple, Texas. His daughter, Patricia Gonzales Dodd & Husband James Dodd of Temple, Texas, also survives him. He cherished the joy of being surrounded by his loving siblings: Virginia Heritage of Rowlett, Texas; Udencia Villarreal of Belton, Texas; and Lousia Salas of Nolanville, Texas. Faustino's family continues to grow with ten beloved grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit within them.

Faustino is also preceded in death by his devoted spouse, Margarita Gonzales, along with his sons Simon and David Gonzales. Their memory remains etched in the hearts of those who knew them, and Faustino’s unwavering love will be an enduring source of comfort to his family in the years to come.

A visitation to honor and celebrate Faustino’s life will take place at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton, Texas, on June 12, 2025, at 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on June 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The burial will take place afterward at North Belton Cemetery at 11:30 AM.

As we gather to pay our respects, we remember a man who worked tirelessly for his loved ones, shared countless moments of happiness, and created memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
