Gary Wayne Adkins

Gary Wayne Adkins, 64, of Belton passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence. A private family service will be held at a later date. Gary was born on February 13, 1954 to James and Ora Adkins in Pikeville, KY. Mr. Adkins was an ordained minister for most of his life as well as an entrepreneur. He also was very handy with his hands and could fix just about anything that needed fixing. Gary enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren more than anything else in this world. He never met a stranger and would help anyone out that needed it. Gary was a great father, an awesome grandfather and amazing friend to all. Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Glenis Adkins in 1986. Gary is survived by his two sons; Kenny Adkins of Killeen and James Adkins of Temple, a daughter; Barbara Adkins of Harker Heights, his sister; Amalee Brown of Harker Heights, and thirteen grandchildren. In lieu of flowers make a donation to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
