Gina Pearson McCallum

June 9, 1970 — February 10, 2024

Salado, Texas

Gina Renae McCallum, 53, of Salado, passed away on February 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and beautiful memories. Born on June 9, 1970, in Dallas, Gina was the beloved daughter of Gene Pearson and Georgia Ann Pearson.

Gina graduated from Rogers High School in 1988. She married the love of her life, Lyle McCallum on May 20, 2000, it was love at first sight for them both. They created a life they loved full of memories that will be cherished always. Gina loved being a mother and showered her daughter Taylor with unconditional love and support throughout her life. As a family-oriented person at heart, Gina found immense joy in gathering friends and family together.

Gina's journey in life was filled with remarkable accomplishments and meaningful contributions to her community. Gina possessed an innate passion for all things creative and consistently sought avenues to express herself through her creativity. She owned Cookies Galore by Gina, and her cookies captured the hearts of many. She put love in every delectable treat she crafted. Gina devoted her time and talent to making beautiful mums for local school homecomings, planning events, and doing anything she could to make moments special for others. Gina even convinced her husband Lyle to venture into the world of raising puppies and flipping homes. Their dedication and hard work gave many people beloved companions, and they transformed houses into cozy homes for family and friends. Apart from her entrepreneurial endeavors, Gina had a soft spot for children and dedicated herself to helping local charity organizations. She volunteered tirelessly at local food banks, church fundraisers, and anything she could do to help the community.

Sadly, illness took Gina from this world too soon. However, we take solace knowing that she leaves behind a profound impact on those who were lucky enough to have known her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones and the countless lives she touched.

In honor of Gina's life, a Memorial Service will be held on February 17, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at the 3C Cowboy Fellowship located at 16258 Gooseneck Rd, Salado, Texas, 76571. Friends and family are welcome to attend and bring their favorite dish to enjoy for a luncheon held after her memorial service.

Gina is survived by her devoted husband, Lyle McCallum of Salado; her loving mother, Georgia Ann Pearson of Temple; her beloved daughter, Taylor Rogers and her husband, Eric from San Antonio; her cherished sister, Heather Strickland of Rogers; numerous family members; and countless friends who will miss her dearly.
