Guadalupe Davis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 76. Guadalupe was born on May 11, 1950, in San Perlita, where her journey through life first began.

Guadalupe’s early years were shaped by the close-knit embrace of her family and community. She attended Rennells High School.

A woman of unwavering faith, Guadalupe’s kindness and loving nature touched all who knew her. She was a dedicated homemaker whose warmth and compassion made her home a welcoming haven for family and friends alike. Her career included work in janitorial services and school food service, where she quietly supported the daily lives of many with her steady, caring presence.

Family was the heartbeat of Guadalupe’s life. She was the cherished wife of Carlos Davis Sr., who survives her, and the beloved mother of Carlos Davis Jr. and his wife, Irene, of Holland, Texas, James Davis and his wife, Jessy, of Temple, Texas, and the late Adam Davis. Guadalupe’s legacy continues through her daughter, Connie Knaus and her husband, TJ, of Holland, Texas, as well as eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life. She delighted in shopping for her grandchildren, cooking favorite recipes, and bringing loved ones together for memorable family gatherings.

Guadalupe was the loving sister to Arnulfo Granados, of Big Spring, Texas, Dominga Muro, of Temple, Texas, Maria Luisa Martinez, of Temple, Texas, Carmen Garcia, of Temple, Texas, Mary Ann Tate, of Temple, Texas, and Mariano Granados Jr., of Big Spring, Texas, who survive her. She was preceded in death by her brother Hector Granados, of Temple, Texas, her sisters Antonia Gomez, of Temple, Texas and Lucille Cerda, of Temple, Texas, and her loving parents, Mariano and Guadalupe Granados.

Her character was defined by her caring, kind, and giving spirit. Guadalupe was often described as the glue that held the family together. Always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, she inspired many through her generous heart and unwavering dedication. The tradition of public service was also dear to her, with many family members serving as police officers and EMTs—a reflection of the values she held dear.

Guadalupe’s favorite colors, green and turquoise, were a reflection of the vibrant and nurturing presence she maintained throughout her life.

As her loved ones gather to honor her memory, they will celebrate a life marked by love, faith, and an abiding devotion to family. Guadalupe Davis leaves behind a legacy of kindness, unity, and compassion—her influence living on in the hearts of those she touched.

Her family and friends mourn her passing while holding cherished memories close, profoundly grateful for the years they shared with her.
