Jacob Carrillo-DeLeon

June 26, 2007 — February 26, 2026

Jacob Carrillo-DeLeon of Harker Heights, Texas, born June 26, 2007, in Temple, Texas, passed away on February 26, 2026. In his 18 years, Jacob made a powerful and lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jacob brought a special light and energy to his family. As the youngest of five children, he was deeply loved and cherished, becoming a young man of strength, discipline, and unwavering determination.

Jacob attended New Life Academy and graduated in 2025, receiving his high school diploma from Lighthouse Christian Academy. His commitment to his education reflected the discipline and focus that defined his character. He worked at Discount Tire in Harker Heights for two and a half years, where he became a valued and respected member of the team. His strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude made a lasting impression on his coworkers and customers alike.

With hard work and dedication, he achieved the goals he set for himself — proudly making his dream of owning a Yamaha R1 motorcycle and a Honda Type R race car a reality in a remarkably short amount of time. His ambition reflected the drive and perseverance he carried daily.

Jacob grew up attending New Life Apostolic Church under the leadership of Bishop and Sister White and Pastor John Brown. His faith, along with the love and guidance of his parents, built a solid foundation in his life. He was known as a gentle, kind, polite, and respectful young man, carrying himself with humility and grace beyond his years. He formed deep and meaningful friendships, sharing a close bond with those who stood beside him.

We believe that if Jacob were here today, he would encourage us to remain steadfast in our faith and lean on the promises of God for comfort during this time of deep sorrow.

Jacob is lovingly survived by his parents, Luis Deleon and Sandra Silvas; his sisters, Marivel Rodriguez (Johnny Rodriguez), Angel Huddleston (Cody Poyser), and Ysabel Huddleston (Emily Chavez); his cherished nieces and nephews, Jeremiah Rodriguez, Tony Huddleston, Mia'Rose Rodriguez, Idolina Poyser, Azalea Poyser; his devoted aunts and uncles, a host of cousins who deeply love him and stood by him until the very end, and his beloved grandparents.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Vicente “Chente” Huddleston.

Though we feel the weight of his absence, we take comfort in knowing his foundation was built on faith. His memory will remain a blessing, and his life will continue to inspire us to walk faithfully and love deeply.
