James Joseph Chapman

James Chapman, 73 of Belton passed away on August 14, 2021, in Frisco, Texas.

A graveside service for James will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 10 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

James Chapman was born on April 7, 1948, to James and Delores Chapman in Johnstown, PA. He worked as a superintendent at Horizon General Contractors. James also served in the Navy for three tours and is a Vietnam Veteran. He was a friendly person who made friends wherever he went. James loved golf, motorcycles and to BBQ with family and friends.

James is survived by his wife, Deborah Chapman; his two brothers, Ricky Chapman Newport Richy, FL and Robert Chapman of Royal Oak, MI; his sister, Karen Bowden of Morgans Point; his four sons, James Chapman of Florida, Kirk Chapman of Holland, MI, Thomas Chapman of Warren, MI, Matthew Chapman of Sterling Heights, MI,; his daughter, Christy Chapman of Sterling Heights, MI; his two step-sons, Shawn McCready and Ryan McCready, both of Temple and his ten grandchildren, Joseph Chapman, Jonathan Chapman, Jacob Chapman, Luke Chapman, Brandon Chapman, Logan Chapman, Eric (Chapman) Stadler, Christian (Chapman) Stadler, Aria Chapman and Ella Chapman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Delores and James Chapman; and his sister, Donna Boyer.
