Chubby was a beacon of light for all who knew him. His smile was infectious, his humor unforgettable, and his zest for life truly inspirational. As a proud graduate of Belton High School, he carried with him not just the knowledge gained, but the friendships and experiences that shaped him into the man he became. He was a soul who found solace in the simple pleasures of life, from the rhythmic push of a skateboard beneath his feet to the soul-stirring melodies of his favorite songs or casting a reel into the open waters with a cold drink in his hand.
Above all, Chubby cherished the moments spent with his beloved daughter and bestest buddy, Liliana "Monkey" Alicia Aracelli Dominguez, and her mother, Mariah Renee Walker. Together he and his daughter, created a world filled with laughter and love, a testament to the unbreakable bond between a father and his child. His love extended to his devoted mother, Myriam Araceli Gutiérrez, and his father, James David “JD” Dominguez, who instilled in him the values of family and the importance of leaving a positive mark on the world. Chubby's sister, Jasmyn Mya Dominguez (fiancé AJ Nelson), nephew Miles Elias Nelson, brothers Derek Ray Sánchez Jr (fiancé Marilyn Montero), Adrian David Dominguez, and Michael Xavien Segovia, as well as his grandmothers Dolores Vásquez and Adela Hernandez, will forever hold precious memories of times spent with Chubby.
His adventurous spirit soared when surrounded by his family, including numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, whom he loved unconditionally. Chubby's ability to bring people together, ensuring that every gathering was filled with laughter and camaraderie, will be a cherished legacy.
Chubby lived by the words of the great Paco Aguilar: "Life’s a risk carnal." Indeed, his life was a testament to this philosophy. He approached each day as an opportunity to explore, to love, and to create joy. His adventurous heart led him down many paths, but it was his love for family and his daughter that truly defined him.
Let us remember Chubby not just for the moments he shared but for the emotion he stirred within us. He was a funny, loving, and adventurous soul who reminded us that life is to be savored, cherished, and shared. To honor his memory, we can all strive to live as Chubby did—with courage, with laughter, and with an unwavering commitment to those we hold dear.
