Jody Lee Carter, age 50, of Nolanville, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and "Yaya", passed away on August 17, 2023, after a sudden illness. She was born on January 4, 1973, in Crescent City, CA, to her loving parents John and Brenda Lowe. Jody's departure has left an immense void in the lives of her family and friends but her memory will forever shine brightly in their hearts.

Jody's life revolved around her role as a devoted wife and mother. On February 22, 1993, she married the love of her life, Jim Carter, in a beautiful ceremony at Lake Tahoe. Together they built a loving home where Jody poured all of her love and care into each member of her family. Her dedication to her husband and children was unwavering; she truly considered them the center of her world.

After graduating from high school in California in 1990, Jody took on the important role of a teacher's aide. She found immense fulfillment in supporting children with disabilities and became an integral part of their educational journeys. Jody's compassion knew no bounds, and she dedicated her time and energy to ensuring these children received the love and attention they deserved.

While taking care of her family was Jody's primary focus, she also had a passion for quilting. With nimble fingers and a creative mind, she would sew together beautiful patterns that brought warmth to the hearts of those who received them. The joy Jody experienced while quilting was only surpassed by the moments spent with her family and friends.

Jody Carter was a woman who exuded love and kindness in every aspect of her life. Her smile could brighten even the darkest days, providing solace to those who needed it most. She took pride in being a source of support for others and always put their needs before her own.

Among Jody's proudest accomplishments were her two children, James Jr. and Jenna. She poured her heart into nurturing them, guiding them to become compassionate individuals who would carry her legacy of love forward. Jody's love for her children knew no bounds, and she found immeasurable joy in being their mother.

In addition to her cherished children, Jody is survived by her siblings, Larry Lowe, Jason Lowe, Bonnie Lowe, Jamie Lowe, and Jennifer Doescher. They shared a bond that transcended mere bloodlines; their connection was one of unconditional love and unbreakable support.

Jody's beautiful life has also been graced with the presence of her granddaughters Lilly Hoffman and Everly Carter. These precious little souls were the recipients of Jody's boundless affection and adoration. Although Jody's time with them was cut short, the memories they share will forever be a testament to the immeasurable love between a grandmother and her grandchildren.
