John Edwin Hughes

John Edwin Hughes, 90 of Harker Heights, passed away Saturday January 12, 2019 at a Garland, Texas nursing home. Private family services will be held at a later date. John was born on May 24, 1928 in Stephens, Arkansas to Golston and Ethel Hughes. He attended Southern Arkansas University earning his bachelors degree and proudly served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. John enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing and water skiing. John is survived by his wife of 68 years; Billye Jean Willis Hughes, of Harker Heights, Texas, two sons; Scott Hughes, of Heath, Texas, Ken Hughes, of Harker Heights, Texas, and four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
