John Bernard Zizzo, born on June 16, 1959, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, in Temple, Texas. He was a man defined by his unwavering dedication and profound love for his family, John’s journey through life was marked by hard work, devotion, and the enduring bond he shared with those closest to him.

John was best known for owning and operating JZ Trucking Company alongside his beloved wife, Lorrie Zizzo. Together, they built not just a successful business but a life founded on partnership and love. Their story began in the unassuming setting of a McDonald’s in Wisconsin, where John met Lorrie as teenagers. Refusing to let the love of his life slip away, John’s persistence kindled a teenage romance that blossomed into a remarkable 45-year marriage filled with shared dreams, laughter, and unbreakable commitment.

A beloved husband and father, John dedicated himself tirelessly to providing for his family. His sons, Marcus John Zizzo of Elgin and Matthew John Zizzo of Temple, carry cherished memories of working on trucks alongside their father—a hands-on legacy of skills, patience, and care that John imparted generously. More than a skilled craftsman, John could fix or build just about anything, a testament to his passion for remodeling, construction, and flea market adventures that brought joy and zest to his life.

John was a hard worker whose proudest accomplishment was always his family. He held a special place in the hearts of many, including his nephew, Joe Zizzo, and his niece, Jackie Hutchinson, as well as numerous cherished family members and friends. Though he is no longer with us, the love and lessons he shared will continue to resonate deeply with all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Zizzo Sr. and Mae Christopherson Zizzo, and his brothers, Jack and Jim Zizzo, whose memories live on in the stories told by those who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on March 25, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 5431 U.S. Hwy 190, Belton, TX 76513.
