Juanita Ramirez Adams

February 20, 1945 — January 17, 2026

Juanita Ramirez Adams, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, at the age of 80. She was born on February 20, 1945, a child of the earth who embraced life with a profound love for family and her community. Juanita's journey was marked by hard work and resilience, beginning with her younger years spent in the cotton fields, where she learned the value of dedication and the fruits of labor.

In her early career, Juanita served at American Desk until its closure, then proudly worked for over 20 years at Artco Bell until her retirement in 2024. Known for her warm spirit and hospitality, she always welcomed others into her home with an invitation to share a meal, often showcasing her culinary skills through delicious home-cooked dishes and her love for canning.

Beyond her work, Juanita had a green thumb and cherished her time in the garden, cultivating not only flowers and vegetables but also nurturing bonds with her family. She was a storyteller at heart, and her tales, shared during family gatherings, resonated with warmth, humor, and the wisdom of her experiences.

Juanita was a devoted member of Christ The King, attending Wednesday mass with a grace that informed all aspects of her life. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort for her and her family.

She is survived by her loving children, Richard Flores of Belton, Texas, Lisa Marie Rodriquez of Eddy, Texas, and Laurie and Oscar Barbosa of Killeen, Texas; as well as an extensive legacy of grandchildren: Maria DeJesus and Ernesto Robles, Noraida Rodriguez, Altagracia and Cesar Gaona, Lorenso and Maricela Rodriguez, Oracio and Makenna Rodriguez, Baldomero and Araceli Rodriguez, Eliseo Rodriguez Jr., Viviana & Raymundo Gonzales, Alisa Carreras, Julia and Carlos Guerrero, Fabian and Priscilla Gonzalez, Cristian Barbosa, Araisa Barbosa, Esgardo and Sireen Barbosa, along with grandkids who she raised as her own children, Benigno Rodriguez Jr., Sophia & Pablo Torres, Blanca & Geoffrey Abel, Abraham and Lesly Trevino, Oscar and Ezperanza Gonzalez, along with her 37 great-great grandchildren

Juanita is also survived by her cherished siblings, Cenovio and Ofelia Ramirez, Crispin Ramirez Jr., Jose Angel Ramirez, Bertha and Vidal Donoso, Rosa Trevino, and Guadalupe and her husband Venancio Castillo, all of whom will remember her for her faith, love, and unwavering commitment to family and tradition.

Juanita is preceded in death by her daughter, Julia Rodriguez, and son, Manuel Flores, along with her son-in-law, Eliseo Rodriguez, and granddaughter, Salena Rodriguez. She was also welcomed into eternal rest by her great-granddaughter, Guadalupe Avelen Carreras. Resting in peace beside her are her parents, Crispin and Julia Ramirez, and numerous siblings: Petrolino Ramirez, Pedro Ramirez, Juan Ramirez, Ortencia Carrasco, Eloise Donoso, and Bernadine Juarez.
