Julia Ann Cloud Quandt

January 24, 1943 — October 23, 2025

Belton

Julia Ann Cloud Quandt, affectionately known as Judy to her friends and family, was a beacon of love and kindness in the lives of all who knew her. She blessed this world on January 24, 1943, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, and was called to her heavenly home on October 23, 2025, in Belton, Texas.

Judy's journey on earth was one of grace, marked by her gentle spirit and unwavering faith. Judy found joy in helping those who were less fortunate or in need—always extending a hand to make someone else feel special. Judy's selfless service was a testament to her Christian faith, which was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived her beliefs through acts of kindness, always putting others before herself, and thus became a living example of Christ's teachings.

Judy's life was a tapestry woven with the love of her family. She was first loved by her late father James Leo Cloud and mother, Inez Russell Cloud. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Fredrick Quandt, and a nurturing mother to her children. Though her heart ached with the loss of her eldest son, Mark Anthony Herring, and her youngest, James El Herring, she found solace in the continued presence of her loving daughter, Lori Ann Herring Cox, and stepdaughter, Lisa Quandt Evans, daughter-in-law, Debbie Evans along with Judy’s sister Carol Cloud Jacobs, Donnie Jacobs, brother-in-law; and Curtis Cloud Jacobs, nephew. Judy's legacy continued to flourish through her cherished grandchildren, Kadin Michael Cox, Andrew McGowan, Abby McGowan, Alex Ramsey, Abby Duke, Candace Boehm, Britney Boehm, and Kristen Boehm, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life and her love knew no bounds for her eight great grandchildren.

A woman of many passions, Judy found immense pleasure in periods of quilting with her friends, creating beautiful works that would serve as lasting reminders of her creativity and companionship. Yet, it was her family and friends that truly encapsulated her interests, as she poured her love into every interaction, every shared moment, and every memory made. Words like loving, gentle, and kind only begin to describe Judy's character. Her presence was a warm embrace to the weary, a soft word to the troubled, and a source of unwavering support to those she held dear. Her faith guided her every action, and she walked humbly with her God, trusting in His plan and finding peace in His promises.

As we bid farewell to Judy, we celebrate a life that was lived with purpose and grace, a life that was a testament to the power of love and faith. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends forevermore. Judy's journey through life was a reflection of the Proverbs 31 woman: "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."

Today, we take comfort in knowing that Judy rests in the eternal love of our Savior, and we rejoice in the assurance that we will one day be reunited in the presence of our Lord. Until then, we hold her memory close, a guiding light of what it means to live a life of compassion, service, and unwavering faith.

Judy’s life will be celebrated on November 1st, 2025, with a visitation from 9:30-11:00 at Heber Springs Funeral Home in Heber Springs, AR; followed by a service of celebration at 2:00 at Hunters Chapel Church in Casscoe, AR.
