Kalyn Louise Green, a cherished member of the Rogers community, left this world on November 25, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on June 2, 1963, in Cameron, Texas, Kalyn was not just a wife, mother, and grandmother, but a pillar of her community, known for her warmth and generosity.
Throughout her life, Kalyn was dedicated to her self-employed retail store, where her passion for helping others was evident. She was always the first to lend a hand, providing nourishment to those in need and comfort to those seeking support, friendship, and love. Her vibrant spirit shone through, and while life may have presented its hardships, Kalyn's heart remained open and ready to embrace everyone she encountered.
Her community will long remember her for her boundless kindness and the love she poured into every connection. Kalyn had a fondness for bright pinks, which reflected her joyful personality, and enjoyed gardening, Hallmark movies, and the delicate beauty of butterflies. The love and compassion she exuded will be deeply missed, leaving a void that many will feel in the days to come.
Kalyn is survived by her beloved husband, Butch Green of Rogers, Texas; her daughter, Tricia Maddux of Salado, Texas; her brother, Thomas Maddux of Temple, Texas; her sister, Frances "Ellen" Maddux of Belton, Texas; and her two cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Rowan Corbitt. She also leaves behind her nephew, Ramon Piedra Jr., and nieces Jessica Piedra and Amanda Piedra, along with other loved ones who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Kalyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanna Marie, and her brothers, Wilbur and Melvin Maddux. She is also reunited with her niece, Tasha Maddux, and her parents, Thomas Gene and Glenda Louise Maddux.
