A devoted Licensed Vocational Nurse, Kathleen dedicated her life to the care and comfort of others, retiring in 2020 after a career marked by compassion and unwavering commitment. She was known for her radiant smile and cheerful spirit, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. Kathleen was a steadfast friend and family member, always ready to support and protect those she loved.

Kathleen warmth extended beyond her nursing career into her rich personal life, where she found joy in many passions. A lover of all music, she delighted in the rhythms and melodies that filled her days. Her home was adorned with an enchanting collection of gnomes and sparkling treasures that reflected her love for all things vibrant and bright. A true Pisces, Kathleen was drawn to the ocean and had a special fondness for sea turtles, embodying the gentle and nurturing spirit of the sea. She also had a deep affection for redbirds and cherished moments spent with her family, especially taking her grandchildren to the zoo, creating treasured memories filled with laughter and love.

Kathleen is survived by her beloved daughters, Melissa Cecchine, Carrie Linch, and Melynna Morgan, all residing in Temple, Texas, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. She also leaves behind her brother Casey Zachary and his wife Pam of Post, Texas, alongside fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with one more on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews who will honor her memory in their hearts.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, A. D. and Wanda Zachary, as well as her brothers Thomas and Dempsey Zachary. These losses were deeply felt by Kathleen, yet it was her enduring love for her family and community that defined her life’s journey.

Her presence was a beacon of joy and support, always ensuring that everyone around her felt cared for and valued. Kathleen Zachary will be remembered not only for her professional dedication but also for the sparkle she brought into the lives of her family and friends.
