Louis Glen French, passed peacefully at his residence on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born on October 6, 1939 to Glen and Theresa French, in Killeen, Texas, where he was a life-long resident. On December 5, 1975, Louis married Vickie Marie Brooking.
Louis was a man of strong opinions and a relentless work ethic. A master plumber by trade, he was known for his skills and expertise, working on homes and businesses all over the area. His hands were always busy, whether he was working on the farms or indulging in his hobbies of hunting, fishing and gardening. Louis loved nature but the river was one of his favorite places, always on the hunt for the big yellow cat.
In his younger years, he enjoyed bull riding and was later inducted into the Bell County Cowboy and Cowgirl Hall of Fame. Louis told the best stories about his many experiences and enjoyed time with his much adored English Bulldogs and Jack Russell Terrier.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, who he missed dearly. He leaves behind his wife: Vickie; a brother, sister, son, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Louis was a member of the Church of Christ. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM at Maxdale Cemetery located at 17202 Wolfridge Rd; Killeen, TX, 76549.
May he rest in peace, knowing the impact he made as a father, husband, and friend to many.
