Mark David Carroll

July 8, 1958 — August 6, 2025

Mark David Carroll was born on July 8th, 1958 in Temple, Texas. Mark's Journey through life was one of fun, adventure, and happiness. He was a man undeniable to all, tall as a tree, strong as an ox, and stubborn as a bull. He was a great father, a loving husband, and a wonderful grandfather. He passed away on August 6, 2025, on Belton Lake.

Mark's life was a testament to the values of hard work and dedication. He married the love of his life, Tressia K. Carroll. Together, they built a family that became the centerpiece of his world. Mark was a devoted husband, a supportive father to son Cody P. Pierce and his wife Annie, son Kalyn M. Carroll and his wife Stephanie, and four grandchildren.

Mark’s father helped him develop his skills at an early age. He pursued trucking with his late brother Billy Carroll. The two were inseparable and logged millions of miles on both motorcycles and trucks alike.

He was a restless soul, always on the move, even in retirement he never sat idle.

In his personal life, Mark was a man of many interests. His passion for motorcycles, Nascar, and boating spoke to his love for the thrill of speed and the serenity of nature. But it was the simple pleasure of time spent with family and friends that truly filled his heart with contentment.

Mark is survived by his siblings, Ronnie Carroll, Teresa Schwartz, and Cathy Tracy, who remember him as a loving brother with a warm heart. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Carroll, mother Joyce Carroll, and brother Billy Carroll.

If there was a quote that would best describe Mark, it would be this, “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: "Wow! What a ride!" - Hunter S. Thompson

Mark's legacy will be one of love, laughter, and the enduring strength of family. His memory will be carried on in the stories shared by his friends, the lessons passed down to his grandchildren, and the warm embrace of anyone privileged to know him. Mark David Carroll's life was a journey well-traveled, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to be pulled along for the ride.
