.Martin D. Throneberry, 75, of Copperas Cove passed away on Friday June 28, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Services will be held on Monday July 8th at 10:00 A.M at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors. He was born April 11, 1938 in Flat Creek, TN. He joined the U.S. Army in 1961 and served his country for more than 20 years. His decorations include the Army Commendation Medal; Good Conduct Medal(w/Clasp, Bronze, 2 Loops); National Defense Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon(w/Numerals III); Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He married Ruth Ann Howard on February 14, 1988. He was proceeded in death by his brother,Richard Throneberry and parents Harvey and Nannie Barnett Throneberry; one granddaughter, Melinda Dunlavey and one great-grandaughter, Caitlyn Clough. He is survived by his wife Ruth Throneberry, previous wife Peggy Throneberry, and their 8 children, Sam Throneberry of Temple; Gloria Clough of Copperas Cove; Sandra Hinds of Bastrop; Joel Throneberry of Belton; Marilyn Reid of Temple; Amy Thompson of Ohio; Jack Thompson of Gatesville; Casey Throneberry of Copperas Cove; A brother Aaron Throneberry; two sisters Gladys Burrow and Jane Sutton; 18 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
