Marvella Ann Gaskins

October 21, 1943 — January 11, 2026

Denver City, Texas

Marvella Ann Eeds Gaskins, affectionately known as Ann or Meme to many, entered into the Lord's embrace on January 11, 2026, at the age of 82, in Denver City, Texas. Born on October 21, 1943, in Levelland, Texas, to the late Marvin and Nina Eeds, Ann's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the love she cultivated among her family and friends. Ann's journey beside her devoted husband, Jack Gaskins, spanned a remarkable 64 years of marriage, filled with shared joys and blessings. Together, they built a legacy of love and faith that extended to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ann was the cherished matriarch to Jackie and Brenda Gaskins; Holly, Jared, Emily, and Harper Stein; Dan, Kirstyn, and Willow Gaskins; Marvin and Cheryl Gaskins; Micheal and Jarrah Gaskins, and their children Reese, Rhett, Halston, Bella, and Hazel; Bradley and Hollie Gaskins, and their sons Brayden, Jaxson, Stetson, and Harrison; Cevin and Jessica Mitchell; Brian and Angie Sutton; Hannah and Logan Adams; Holden and Jaicee Sutton, and their little ones Wynn and Piper; Johnny and Lisa Gaskins; Kelea and Tyler Madison, and their children Keygun, Kinley, and Emery; Stormi and Baron Staggs, and their children Opal and Bruce; Elizabeth and Russel Pickerel; Dustin Gaskins; Hunter and Josh Gonzales, and their child Dakota Jan; Logan Gaskins; and her caring sister, Laura Eeds Marks.

A graduate of Lubbock Cooper High School, Ann dedicated her life to the nurturing and guidance of her family as a homemaker and also served her community as the "drivers license lady" at the Texas Department of Public Safety in Denver City. Her work was characterized by kindness and patience, leaving a lasting impression on those she assisted. Ann's commitment to her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She found solace and strength in reading and studying her Bible, and her heart was always lifted by the harmonies of gospel music. Ann's culinary skills were legendary; she was a fabulous cook who relished the opportunity to bring joy to others through her delicious meals. She was also skilled with needle and thread, creating beautiful pieces through her sewing.

Her grandchildren will fondly remember her playful spirit and the loving attention she showered upon them. Ann's love for adventure was evident in her passion for camping and traveling, exploring the splendor of God's creation with her family. As we remember Ann, we are reminded of the words of the Psalmist: "The Lord is my shepherd;

A celebration of Life for Ann will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2025, at Denver City Church of Christ located at 21 N. Ave C in Denver City Texas with a visitation to follow in the fellowship hall.

I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1). Ann lived her life as a reflection of this scripture, trusting in the Lord to guide her every step, and her legacy will continue to be a beacon of faith and love for all who knew her.

Ann's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of devotion, service, and love. Her memory will be cherished and her presence deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, free from the confines of dementia that marked her final years. As we bid farewell to Marvella Ann Eeds Gaskins, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey completed, and a soul returned home. May her story continue to inspire us, and may we hold fast to the memories that bind us together in love and shared history.
