Mary Louise Ashcraft

Mary Louise (McNutt) Ashcraft, 82 of Temple passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at a local hospital. Mary was the daughter of Alvin and Hazel McNutt, born on January 10, 1937 in Breckenridge, Texas. A visitation will be held at Crotty Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 5:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church - Academy on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 10:00 A.M., officiated by Pastor Billy Ray Crow. A burial will follow at Reeds Lake Cemetery in Academy. Mary drove 18 wheelers with her husband Bobby for several years. She worked for Gatesville ISD and later drove for the Hill Country Transit District until she retired. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended every sporting event she could and cheered them on! She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Ashcraft, Sr., daughter, Stephanie Donovan, brothers, Edgar McNutt and Jimmy McNutt. Mary is survived by her sons, Johnny Dewbre and wife Jackie of Olney, Texas, Bobby Ashcraft Jr. of Belton, Shawn Ashcraft of Belton ; a daughter, Christy Fox and husband, Richard of Temple; a brother, Glenn McNutt and wife Leona of Merkel, Texas ; a sister, Joan Apple and husband James of Cross Plains, Texas; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
