Mila Michelle Ruiz

February 15, 1980 — November 27, 2025

Temple, Texas

Mila Michelle Ruiz, born in Temple, Texas, danced her way into this world with bright red lipstick, long lashes, and a personality that filled every space she entered. On 11/27/25, at the age of 45, she left this world wrapped in the love, laughter, and support of the many people who stood beside her throughout her courageous battle with breast cancer.

A proud graduate of Academy ISD, Mila poured her heart into her softball community. She served as an active board member for the Central Texas Youth Softball Association (CTYSA), where she was always the loudest cheerleader, the most glamorous mom in the stands, and the tireless supporter behind her youngest daughter’s softball journey. On weekends, if you were looking for Mila, you’d find her at the ballfields with her pink nails polished, makeup bag in hand, shouting encouragement from the bleachers.

For nearly 15 years, Mila worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She later transitioned into a career that suited her lively personality even more in sales and marketing in the beer industry. Starting with Budweiser and later joining Keg 1 in 2023, Mila thrived bringing her signature humor, boldness, and warmth to everyone she met. She adored her job because it allowed her to connect with people and form friendships that lasted far beyond the workday. If there was a store or a restaurant in Central Texas that Mila visited, chances are she left with a new friend.

Known for her “Glamming With Mila” makeup tutorials, her 5-pound bag of cosmetics, and her signature glam look, Mila was unforgettable. She carried herself with the confidence of someone who knew exactly who she was, and loved it. Her laughter, loud and unmistakable, could be heard from across any room, and her energy drew people in effortlessly.

Mila’s fight against cancer was met with overwhelming love. She never walked alone. Friends, teammates, coworkers, and family surrounded her with constant support, proving just how deeply she was cherished by her community.

She leaves behind her three beloved daughters, Dymantina Caldera, Amyah Nieto, and Jazmynn Salinas, who were the pride of her life. She is also survived by her mother, Norma Rodriguez; her brother, Michael Paul Ruiz; and her sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Benjamin Garcia. Mila is deeply missed by her partner and friend, Alfonso Lopez Jr., and carries the love of many special family members including Cory Ruiz, Melonie Deholloz, Tracye Goode, Paul Deholloz, and her best friend, David Casillas.

Mila lived boldly, loved fiercely, and celebrated every moment with sparkle and volume.

To honor the vibrant life she lived, we ask that everyone join us at her memorial in bright, joyful colors, just the way Mila would have wanted.
