Peggy Jean Pruitt

Peggy Jean Pruitt, 77, of Temple passed away on March 18, 2020 in a local nursing home. Peggy was born to Jacqueline and Ely Wiley on May 15, 1942 in Orange, Texas. She married her husband Bill Pruitt on August 17, 1960 at Academy Baptist Church. She worked at Immanuel Baptist Church in the Child Development Center from 1988 to 2008. From the time she was a teenager, she was always sharing the word of Christ with her family and friends. Her husband claims that Peggy led him to Christ. Peggy loved to knit and crochet. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Everyone could always catch Peggy drinking her Cherry Dr. Pepper. A graveside service for Peggy will be held on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Little Flock Cemetery with Pastor Ron Milne officiating. Peggy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bill Pruitt of Temple; her eight grandchildren; and her eight great grandchildren. Peggy is preceded in death by her son, Michael Pruitt; her daughter, Carla Jean Kinsella; her brother, Tommy Joe Wiley; and her sister, Patsy Kirby.
