Pete F. Garcia

April 15, 1956 — December 18, 2023

Pete Flores Garcia, a beloved member of the community, passed away on December 18, 2023, at a Temple hospital. He was born on April 15, 1956, in Belton, Texas to Pedro Torres and Lillie Flores Garcia. Pete led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Having graduated from Belton High School in 1974, Pete embarked on a fulfilling career in grocery distribution. He dedicated many years of hard work to McLane's and PFG until his well-deserved retirement in 2013. Pete's commitment and unwavering work ethic made him an asset to the companies he served.

While Pete found purpose in his professional endeavors, his true joy came from spending quality time with his loved ones. Family always held a special place in his heart, and he treasured every opportunity to create lasting memories with them. Whether it was gathering around the dinner table or embarking on exciting adventures together, Pete's love for his family knew no bounds.

A man of many passions, Pete had an incredible talent for singing karaoke and a deep appreciation for music from the 70s. His vibrant spirit shone through whenever he took the stage and entertained those around him. Additionally, Pete had a delightful sense of humor that brought laughter into the lives of all who knew him.

Outside of his musical pursuits, Pete held a fascination for Harley motorcycles and possessed an impressive knowledge of their make and model. It was said that he could identify any motorcycle on the road with ease.

In his leisure time, Pete enjoyed playing pool and became an avid player over the years. Many friendly competitions were had at various local establishments, where he showcased his skills with finesse. Additionally, Pete had a unique hobby — collecting rocks shaped like hearts and hot wheel cars. His collection was a testament to his appreciation for the little treasures life had to offer.

Pete's creative spirit extended to his craftsmanship. He found solace in the art of wood whittling, skillfully creating intricate designs out of humble pieces of wood. This hobby served as a meditative escape and allowed him to express his creativity in a tangible way.

Pete's passing leaves a void in the lives of his family and friends, who will forever hold him dear in their hearts. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Garcia of Magnolia, TX, and Nicholes Rivera of Temple, TX. Pete also leaves behind his twin daughters, Paula Pollard and Pamela Garcia both of Belton. His memory will be lovingly carried on by his brothers, Rudolph Garcia and Ray Garcia, residing in Belton. Additionally, Pete is survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

To celebrate the vibrant life Pete lived and the joy he brought to those around him, a Celebration of Life service will be held on January 6, 2024. The event will take place at Nolan Creek Brewery located at 206 N Penelope St, Belton, TX 76513. Beginning at 12:00 PM, friends and family will have the opportunity to gather together to honor Pete's legacy and share cherished memories. The celebration will conclude at 3:00 PM.

Pete Flores Garcia was an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of many with his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family.
