Richard ""Dick"" Lee Turnpaugh Sr.

Richard ""Dick"" Lee Turnpaugh Sr., 80, of Belton passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Crotty Funeral Home with H.K. Ballard officiating. Richard was born on June 27, 1938 to Maurice and Margaret Turnpaugh in Kokomo, IN. He married Pamela Palmer on August 6, 1983 in Temple. He worked at the City of Temple Water Treatment Plant for several years as a senior operator. Richard enjoyed taking care of his yard, going to flea markets, taking trips, family celebrations, cookouts, anything to do with food, and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Margaret Turnpaugh, his brother, Conrad Turnpaugh and his sister, Norma Jean Turnpaugh; two grandsons, Travis James Turnpaugh and Eric Scott Turnpaugh. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Turnpaugh of Belton; his sons, Richard Lee Turnpaugh Jr. of Belton, Robert Kent Turnpaugh of Pendleton, Randy Allen Turnpaugh of White Hall, Christopher Martin Sanders of Belton and Gerald Wayne Sanders of Belton; his daughter, Kandy Diane Wolf of Temple; his brothers, Weldon Turnpaugh, Ronnie Turnpaugh, Maurice Turnpaugh, and Tom Turnpaugh, all of Indiana; his sisters, Mary Kay Deauteachu and Carla Campbell, both of Indiana; eleven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
