Ricky Lynn King, 67, of Little River Academy passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at a local hospital.
A viewing for Ricky will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at United Methodist Church in Academy with Pastor Lianne Turner Officiating followed by his burial at Wilson Valley Cemetery of Little River Academy.
Ricky Lynn King was born on May 9, 1955, to Troy and Amelia “Emily” King in Temple. He married the love of his life, Sandra Bland on July 20, 1973. Ricky worked as a carpenter for most of his life and worked for Genko Quality cabinets in Heidenheimer. Ricky enjoyed fishing, hunting, coaching softball, and making his own hot sauce for everyone. He loved being a husband, father, and Papa. He had a huge heart and always told his family to, “Be kind to yourself and others.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Amelia “Emily” King, and his brother, Bobby King.
He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Sandra Joan King of Little River Academy; his daughters, Christina Turner of Little River Academy, Michelle King of Little River Academy, Samantha Lewis of Belton, and LeeAnn Pittman of Ft. Worth; his brothers, Garry King of Temple, and Larry King of Temple; his sisters, Anita Frankford of Temple and Lydia King of Temple; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
