Robert was born in Davilla, TX, September 25, 1930 to the late David Asbury Gober and Mamie Josephine Bernard Gober. During his lifetime, Robert was a pillar of strength and support for his family. His unconditional love and unwavering dedication were evident in every aspect of his life. Robert married Mary Nell Bates, November 22, 1958.  Robert served his country honorably during the Korean War in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954.  Robert's devotion extended beyond his immediate family. He touched the lives of many as a kind-hearted friend and caring individual with his many years of serving the community from his auto mechanic shop in Gatesville. He also worked for Kalyn Trailers and Rockwool Industries until his retirement in 1987.  His warm spirit and welcoming nature made everyone feel at ease in his presence. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert enjoyed time with his kids and grandchildren, sharing his signature ice cream.  He was a master at BINGO and enjoyed fishing whenever he could.

Robert is survived by three sons: Jerry Gober (Debbie) of Lott, Jimmy Gober (Marty) of Belton, and Michael Gober (Kathy Mayall) of Gatesville. He also leaves behind three daughters: Patsy Braxton of Hearne, Jeanetta Morgan (Denny) of Gatesville, and Karen Rance (Robert) of Belton. Robert's legacy will be carried on through his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. Their lives have been enriched by the love and guidance he provided.

We share our deepest condolences with the entire Gober family during this difficult time. May the memories of Robert's love, kindness, and warmth provide comfort and solace in the days ahead. He will forever remain in our hearts as a true example of love and devotion.
