Robert Dell Parette Jr. was born on December 20, 1960 in Fort Hood, Texas. Growing up, Robert had a love for rodeoing. Many miles spent chasing a dream with his brother and friends. In his later years, he gained a love like no other working cattle on his "XR Ranch".

He was, as some would say, a jack of all trades. From many years of service at Scott & White in the maintenance field as a master locksmith, to being able to fix just about anything thrown his way.

On September 5, 1988, he was wed to Rhetta Elliott of Nederland, Texas. They shared the commitment to one another in marriage until the day he was called home. Together, Robert & Rhetta gave life to two girls: Brittany Kay Parette and Amy Elizabeth Parette.

He is survived by his wife, Rhetta of Rogers, Texas, his daughter Brittany of Austin, Texas, and his daughter Amy, of Houston, Texas, his sister Paula Cox and her husband James of Rogers, Texas, his brother Ronald Parette and wife Christine of Moffat, Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Parette Sr. and Carrolyn, and his grandparents Tom and Lola Wingert.

Pallbearers will be: Kody Parette, Ronald Parette, Lucas Cox, Jimmie Cox, Joe Knight, and Kenton Drake; a few of the strong and loving men that Robert loved dearly.
