Robert Ruiz, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, was born on January 5, 1967, in Temple, Texas, and passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Belton, Texas. With a spirit that brought warmth and laughter to those around him, Robert’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family.
He attended Belton High School, where his vibrant personality began to shine. Robert had a special gift for bringing joy to any gathering. He could recite commercials after hearing them just once, and his family will never forget his remarkable memory and infectious laugh. These moments, full of humor and light, are treasured memories that remain close to their hearts.
Robert found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He especially loved Sunday mornings spent watching preachers on television, singing along with worship music, and reading the Bible. He enjoyed watching game shows like Wheel of Fortune, The Price Is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, and Jeopardy. His love for Coca-Cola and Cheetos made even ordinary moments feel like a treat. Robert also loved Christmas. He looked forward to it all year and often sang Christmas songs no matter the season, filling the house with cheer. He enjoyed dressing in a suit and tie for special occasions, which gave him a sense of pride and reflected his unique style.
Robert lived a life that required the support of those around him, and in that, his gentle spirit shone even brighter. His sister was his devoted caretaker, and the bond he shared with his mother was full of deep love and pride. Robert had a way of reminding those closest to him of the beauty of unconditional love and simple joys.
Robert is survived by his mother, Josephine Ruiz of Belton; his sister, Margarita Aragon of Temple; his brother, Abel Ruiz and his wife, Paula, of Cedar Park; his nephews Joseph, Nathaniel, Philip, Gabriel, and Samuel; and his nieces Amanda, Jessica, Kaley, and Isabelle. He is also remembered by many other cherished family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Ruiz, and his brother, Richard Ruiz.
Those who loved Robert will carry forward his legacy of laughter, kindness, and the reminder to find joy in the everyday. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him best.
