Robert Leo Vankirk, Jr.

Robert Leo Vankirk, Jr., 64, of Killeen passed away on January 11, 2024. He was born on April 3, 1959, in Omaha, Nebraska to Robert Leo Vankirk, Sr. and Marjorie Ann (Reeves) Vankirk.

Robert spent many years working as a long haul truckdriver, traveling many different places and enjoying the landscapes along the way. He had a deep passion for his work and embraced the freedom of the open road. He also loved spending any free time he has with his family.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Vankirk.

He is survived by his loving sister, Victoria Griffeth of Copperas Cove, TX; a niece, Kristina Polverino and her husband Frank of Chesapeake, VA; two nephews, Christopher Griffeth of Copperas Cove, TX, and Casey Griffeth and wife Megan of Copperas Cove, TX; four great nieces, Savannah, Brooklyn, Kennedy, and Reagan and two great nephews, Jace Laken and Lyrik Emmanuel. As an uncle, he shared countless moments of laughter and happiness with them.

Robert Leo Vankirk, Jr. will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of dedication, kindness, and adventure will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
