Roger Brent Nunn

January 8, 1956 — September 24, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Brent Nunn, who left us on September 24, 2024, in Belton, Texas, at the age of 68. Roger was born on January 8, 1956, in Burnet, Texas.

A celebration of Roger's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Buckholts SPJST Lodge Hall located at 600 E Hwy 36 Buckholts, Tx 76518.

Roger’s journey began with his education at C.H. Yoe High School, from which he graduated in 1974. He carried the values learned during those formative years into his long and fulfilling career as a skilled welder. After dedicating many years to Butler Weldments, he retired in 2001; however, his industrious spirit remained strong as he continued to work for Belltec until 2012. His commitment and work ethic were a testament to his character, and he was well respected among his peers.

Beyond his professional life, Roger was a vibrant individual who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with friends. He cherished the simple pleasures in life—good conversation, a cold beer, and merriment. His warmth and genuine nature made every gathering brighter, and stories of his jovial exploits will surely be shared for years to come.

Roger is survived by his loving children: Angela Rivers (Michael) of Fort Campbell, KY; Brent Nunn of Rosebud, TX; Cassie Jenkins (George) of Fort Wayne, IN; Jessica Nunn (Randy Westfall) of Troy, Tx; and Roger Nunn, II of Rogers, TX. Each of them carries forward not just his legacy but also a piece of his heart. He is also survived by his brother Larry Nunn of Weimar, TX, and sister Linda Reichert (Jimmy) of Salado, TX. Roger’s grandchildren—Alvin Jr (AJ), Luke, Kadence, Korria, Donovan, Temperance, Lakota, Jaden, and Ryleigh—were a significant source of joy in his life, and he took great pride in being their grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elzy Leroy Nunn and Dorothy Mae (Daniell) Wallace, along with his sister Sandra "Sandy" Terry and brother Brian Mitchell Nunn. Their memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who loved them.

Roger Brent Nunn will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor to know him. His spirit will continue to inspire and his laughter will echo in the cherished memories of those left behind.
