Ronald Patrick Smith, a dedicated educator with a passion for electronics, passed away on February 24, 2024 in Temple, Texas. He was born in Belton, Texas, on March 17, 1944.

Ronald served and retired from the United States Navy, demonstrating his deep sense of duty and love for his country. After his military services he dedicated 33 years of his life to teaching electronics at TSTC before his well-deserved retirement. His commitment to shaping young minds and sharing his knowledge left a lasting impact on the countless students he inspired over the years.

In his free time, he took over his father's passion of breeding and raising horses for racing, but Ronald's proudest accomplishments was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 He is survived by his daughters Sharon Lott and Sherry Powell, along with their families. He is also remembered by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bob Shuler and Tommie Irene (Harrel) Smith; his daughter, Susan Pollard and a brother, Thomas Russell.

Among those mourning Ronald's loss is his first wife Barbara F. Babb, who shared many cherished memories with him over the years.

Ronald Patrick Smith touched the lives of many through his dedication to education, service to his country, and love for his family. His memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a profound impact during his time on this earth.
